The Cambodia e-Arrival Card (CeA) is a free mandatory digital form that all travelers must submit before entering Cambodia. Register at arrival.gov.kh up to 7 days before your arrival date — the process takes about 10 minutes and requires only your passport, a portrait photo, your hotel name, and your flight number.
What You Need Before Starting
Before opening the Cambodia e-Arrival portal, prepare your passport, a portrait photo, your first night's hotel name and province, and your flight number. The form has a 30-minute session timeout, so having everything ready prevents losing your progress mid-form.
Required items:
- Valid passport — at least 6 months validity from your arrival date
- Portrait photo — face-only, no full body, clear neutral background
- Hotel name and province — not the full address; just hotel name and which province it's in
- Flight number — e.g. VN123 or TG407 (from your booking confirmation)
- Email address — to receive your QR code confirmation
- Device with internet — phone, tablet, or computer all work
Optional: Photo or scan of your passport data page, and flight ticket upload (completely optional — most travelers skip this).
The Cambodia e-Arrival Card is completely free whether you use the official website or the official app.
How to Access the Official Cambodia e-Arrival Portal
Access the Cambodia e-Arrival Card at arrival.gov.kh or download the free Cambodia e-Arrival app — both provide the same form. You do not need to create an account; a guest sign-in option is available for all travelers.
Via the Official Website (arrival.gov.kh)
- Open arrival.gov.kh in any browser
- Click the blue "Submit e-Arrival" button
- Select "Sign In Without Account" — fastest option, no email registration required

The Cambodia e-Arrival app is available for free on both platforms:

The app is the official government app — identical to the website but optimized for mobile screens. Both are free.
How to Fill the Cambodia Arrival Card — 8 Steps
The Cambodia e-Arrival Card has 8 sequential steps covering your photo, passport details, personal information, travel details, accommodation, health, and customs declarations. Complete each section exactly as it appears in your passport — mismatched details are the most common cause of immigration delays.
Step 1 — Upload Your Passport Photo (Portrait)
Upload a face-only portrait photo — your face should fill most of the frame. Do not use a full-body photo or a photo with other people.
- Crop so only your face and upper shoulders are visible
- Use a clear, recent photo
- Neutral background preferred (white or light gray)
- The same square selfie used for your passport works well
Step 2 — Enter Passport Information
Enter your passport details exactly as they appear in your passport — any mismatch can cause issues at the immigration counter.
- Passport Number — exactly as printed
- Issuing Country — the country that issued your passport
- Passport Type — usually "Ordinary" for most travelers
- Passport Expiry Date — must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival
- Passport Data Page — upload a photo/scan of your passport's info page (optional but recommended)
Step 3 — Enter Personal Details
Enter your personal information exactly as shown in your passport. For the Occupation field, select "Other" and type your job title if your specific occupation is not listed.
- First Name and Middle Name(s) — as in passport
- Date of Birth — day/month/year format
- Birth Country
- Nationality
- Occupation — "Other" is always available if yours isn't listed
- Gender
- Phone Number — with country code (e.g. +44 for UK)
- Email Address — QR code confirmation sent here
Step 4 — Enter Travel Information
Complete your flight and travel details for your Cambodia trip. Most fields are mandatory.
- Arrival Date & Departure Date — your planned travel dates in Cambodia
- Port of Entry — airport or land border (e.g. Phnom Penh Int'l Airport, Poipet)
- Travel Purpose — "Holiday / Pleasure / Vacation" for tourism
- Type of Air Transport — "Commercial" for regular flights
- Flight Number — from your booking confirmation
- Visa Status — check "Already has a visa" only if you have an approved e-visa
- Travel Route — city you are arriving from + city you are going to after Cambodia
- Flight Ticket Upload — entirely optional, most travelers skip this
Step 5 — Enter Accommodation Details
Enter your first hotel or accommodation in Cambodia. You do not need the full address — only the hotel name and province are required.
- Accommodation Type — select "Hotel" for most travelers
- Hotel Name — name of your first night's accommodation
- Hotel Contact Number — from the hotel website or booking
- Hotel Province — e.g. "Siem Reap", "Phnom Penh", "Sihanoukville"
Step 6 — Complete the Health Declaration
Answer the health questions in this section — covering recent illnesses, symptoms, and medications. Most tourists answer "No" to all questions. Click "Next" to proceed.
Step 7 — Complete the Customs Declaration
Review Cambodia's customs duty-free allowances, then answer the Yes/No questions. Standard limits include up to 200 cigarettes, 1 liter of alcohol, and currency over USD 10,000 must be declared. Confirm with: "I hereby confirm that all the statements in this declaration are true and correct."
Step 8 — Review, Submit and Save Your QR Code
Review all sections, check the final agreement box, and click Submit. Your QR code is generated immediately.
- Screenshot the QR code immediately — save to camera roll
- Print a paper copy as backup
- Check email for QR code confirmation (allow up to 30 minutes; check spam)
- Present the QR code to the immigration officer upon arrival in Cambodia
Your Cambodia e-Arrival QR Code — What to Do After Submitting
After submitting your Cambodia e-Arrival Card, a QR code is generated immediately. This QR code is your immigration clearance document — show it at the immigration counter on arrival. It is valid for the specific arrival date you selected in the form.
- Screenshot it on your phone — accessible offline from camera roll
- Email the screenshot to yourself as extra backup
- Print a paper copy — recommended in case your phone battery dies
- The QR code is separate from your visa — both may be checked at immigration
Common Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
The most common errors when filling the Cambodia e-Arrival Card are passport details that don't exactly match, submitting too early (more than 7 days before arrival), and not saving the QR code. All are preventable with the tips below.
Passport Details Don't Match
Enter your name, passport number, and expiry date exactly as printed in your passport. Middle names must be included if they appear in your passport. Hyphenated surnames must be entered with the hyphen. Even small discrepancies can cause delays at immigration.
Wrong Hotel Information
You need the hotel name and province only — not the street address. If staying in a private rental or Airbnb, select "Other" accommodation type and enter the nearest town or district as the province.
Submitted Too Early
The Cambodia e-Arrival form cannot be submitted more than 7 days before your arrival date. The system will reject earlier submissions. Set a calendar reminder for 7 days before your trip. See our full timing guide.
What If I Entered Wrong Information?
If you spot an error after submitting, simply submit a new form with the correct information. There's no need to cancel the old submission — the most recent CeA is the one processed. You cannot edit a submitted form.
Website Not Loading or Errors
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
- Clear browser cache and reload
- Switch to the official mobile app (often more stable)
- Airport tablets at major Cambodian airports are the last-resort option
