The Cambodia e-Arrival Card (CeA) is mandatory for all international travelers entering Cambodia, regardless of nationality, visa status, or entry point. Since September 1, 2024, this applies to arrivals by air, land, and sea. Registration is free at arrival.gov.kh and takes about 10 minutes.

✅ Quick Answer: The Cambodia e-Arrival Card is required for ALL travelers — every nationality, every entry point, visa-exempt or not. It's free at arrival.gov.kh.

Who Needs the Cambodia Arrival Card?

Every international traveler entering Cambodia must complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card — including all nationalities, visa-exempt visitors, and Cambodian nationals. There are no exemptions based on passport nationality.

Applies to:

  • All foreign nationals entering Cambodia
  • Cambodian citizens returning home
  • Tourists, business travelers, and transit passengers
  • Visa-exempt nationalities (even without a visa, the CeA is required)
  • Travelers with a pre-approved e-visa
  • Travelers getting a Visa on Arrival

Entry points covered:

  • ✅ All international airports (Phnom Penh PNH, Siem Reap SAI, Sihanoukville KOS)
  • ✅ All land border crossings (Poipet, Bavet, O'Smach, Koh Kong)
  • ✅ Sea port arrivals

Cambodia Arrival Card Requirements by Nationality

The Cambodia e-Arrival Card applies equally to all nationalities — including those who are visa-exempt. The arrival card is a separate immigration requirement from your visa status.

UK Passport Holders

UK citizens require a Cambodia tourist visa (valid for 30 days, obtainable via e-visa at evisa.gov.kh or Visa on Arrival) plus the Cambodia e-Arrival Card. Both are separate requirements submitted via different portals.

US Passport Holders

US citizens require a Cambodia tourist visa plus the Cambodia e-Arrival Card. The e-visa is available at evisa.gov.kh. The Visa on Arrival is also available at major airports. The CeA must be submitted separately.

Australian Passport Holders

Australian nationals require a visa for Cambodia and must complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card. Both are mandatory and separate requirements. Allow time to complete both before travel.

EU Passport Holders

All EU passport holders must complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card. Visa requirements vary by EU country — check via the official e-visa portal. The CeA is mandatory regardless of visa status.

Malaysian & ASEAN Passport Holders

Malaysian passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Cambodia for up to 30 days for tourism. However, they must still complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card — the visa exemption does not remove the CeA requirement. The same applies to other ASEAN nationalities with visa-free access to Cambodia.

All Other Nationalities

The Cambodia e-Arrival Card applies universally to all nationalities entering Cambodia. If you are entering Cambodia, you need it — regardless of nationality or visa status.

Passport Validity Requirement

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you arrive in Cambodia. If your passport expires within 6 months of your arrival, renew it before traveling. This is checked at immigration — travelers with insufficient passport validity may be denied entry.

When to Submit the Cambodia Arrival Card

The Cambodia e-Arrival Card must be submitted within 7 days before your arrival date. Earlier submissions are rejected. Complete it 24–72 hours before your flight for best results.

For full timing details, see our When to Submit guide.

Arrival Card vs Visa — Are They the Same?
